A large 1930s hand carved wooden chocolate or biscuit mould from Central Europe, featuring a naïve carved decorative surface.
The piece has a warm, aged wood tone with visible hand tooling and carving marks, reflecting its utilitarian origins in traditional confectionery or baking preparation. The carving has an informal, folk quality rather than a highly refined finish, giving it a strong handmade character.
These moulds were originally used in food preparation and now work beautifully as decorative kitchenalia objects, especially within rustic or collected interiors where natural materials and historic tools are displayed for their form and texture.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
